Dr. Laura M. Aversano

Dr. Laura Aversano has been practicing dentistry for more than 20 years in Illinois and Michigan. She strongly believes in providing excellent dental care to her patients. Her philosophy is to listen to her patients and ensure their comfort. The Downtown Dental Care of Howell staff emphasizes easing a patient’s concern and Dr. Aversano ensures that each member of her staff shows the necessary gentle and passionate care towards all patients. Teamwork is an important part of the practice. You will often hear her called Dr. Laura because of her friendly and approachable nature.

During her career Dr. Laura has been an associate professor of fixed and removable prosthodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. She has been heavily devoted to her continuing education. Her additional training includes CEREC, the Solea dental laser, implants and Botox for cosmetic and therapeutic use. The one visit crown or CEREC has been part of her practice since 2011. She is excited to bring her experience and the technology to Howell.

As part of her continued commitment to giving back to her community, Dr. Aversano participated in the Illinois Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped, Operation Care Package, her local food pantry and her own Veterans Day Program. Playing an active role in her local community has always been a vital part of her practice.

Dr. Aversano and her family, including their 4 dogs, reside in Novi, where her daughter trained as an international ice dancer. In her spare time, she enjoys music and traveling to cities.

Dr. Anthony J. Kahn

Dr. Anthony Kahn is a 1991 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and has been proudly serving patients in the Livingston County area for over 30 years. He has practiced dentistry at Downtown Dental of Howell since 1995. He is committed to providing exceptional dental care grounded in compassion, trust, and a friendly, patient-centered approach. Dr. Kahn believes in treating every patient as an individual and takes pride in delivering the highest standard of care while thoughtfully addressing each person’s unique oral health needs. He places a strong emphasis on patient education, empowering patients to be well informed and actively involved in decisions about their treatment.

An active member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, and the Livingston District Dental Society, Dr. Kahn is a dedicated advocate for continuing education. He regularly attends dental seminars and professional courses to stay current with the latest advancements in dentistry.

Outside of the office, Dr. Kahn enjoys performing music with his band, pursuing photography, and spending quality time with his family.
